About Me:
My name is Endre L. Balogh. It is my pleasure to welcome you, as a new or returning member, to the instrumental music program at Kennedy Middle School! Excitement is an understatement that represents how I feel working with your child, helping to develop superb musicianship and performance skills through confidence. I want to start by introducing myself as the new Instrumental Music Teacher.
I received my first music performance bachelor's degree in Hungary. Relocating to California with a great desire to learn, I earned a music education bachelor's degree at SFSU, a master's degree in music education at SJSU, and a master's degree in science (eLearning) at CSUEB.
As a musician, I had the honor of performing with some of the Bay Area’s finest groups playing saxophone, clarinet, flute. As an educator, I have prepared students aged 10 to 18 for the MTAC music performance and theory examination at the advanced level, taught private and public school district instrumental bands, and was invited to the Department of Education (Washington D.C.) because of a collaborative work project with Herbie Hancock.
During these unprecedented times, my mission is to keep your young musician(s) excited about learning music and develop practical performance psychology skills: focus, resilience, and confidence. Although being together in a room to practice a musical composition has many benefits, online learning with modern technology can offer a new and challenging environment for many, such as music writing and multiple tracks recording programs or applications.
